Five months have gone by since I was indoctrinated into the #TEAMCITYWIDE world and began changing myself for the better.
Five months ago it was a struggle to get through the exercise sessions – and I know Joseph was taking it easy on me!
My body struggled from day to day with soreness and muscles not wanting to work properly – I even struggled to lift my arms to wash my hair.
Today I am not struggling through the sessions and it is me pushing myself to keep improving my weights and reps. It is now on a weekly basis that I am breaking a Personal Best in at least one exercise. It’s great to hit these little milestones along the way because I know it keeps moving me closer and closer to my goal.
My body no longer aches days later after a session – which doesn’t mean I am not completely smashed at the end of training, it’s still hard work – my body is just now more conditioned to handle the questions I am asking of it.
Earlier in the year I completed the 28 Day Transformation Challenge and lost another 4.2 kilograms. I am also taking part the next 28 Day Transformation Challenge and expect to drop below the magic 100kg mark which will be one big goal ticked off my list.
The best part with the 28 Day program is that the changes in diet can be maintained long after the 28 days are up, it is setting you up for the long term not just 28 days.
The hardest part of changing my diet though has been the removal of breads.
I love bread, but obviously I ate way too much.
However with the help and assistance of my lovely wife, I (or mostly she) has revamped my diet not only through the 28 days but now continuing on after that.
My clothes are starting to be more of an issue! My jeans are starting to fall around my ankles and shirts are starting to swim on me, a good problem to have I suppose!
James has assured me however that there is no stipulation for the gym to buy me new clothes…oh well.
Next time you here from my I expect that I can announce that I have dropped below the 100kg mark and will be moving closer again to having lost 20kg.
Until next time World.
